Playback of Encore project in VLC

i'm aware likley vlc problem , head on there too, has experienced this.

 

my project has 1 english subtitle track each timeline.  timelines have 20 second intro piece no subtitling , when dialogue kicks in subtitling.  i've built dvd folder , burnt disc nero.  when played in vlc 2 subtitle options on vlc menu track 1 english , track 2 when subtitles kick in 3 additional track 3. 

 

to view subtitles: selecting track 1 english nothing, track 2 turns on subtitles , track 3

i did qick test dvd test subtitle project built folder. project has 1 subtitle track. works correctly in total media theater 5 , 6. not work correcty in vlc 2.1.2.

 

in vlc, shows 3 subtitle tracks, first called english (which correct). track not play subtitles. tracks 2 , 3 both play subtitles.

 

i using regular menu tools; not see remote control simulator test subtitles in vlc. there one?

 

there many options n vlc preferences, none think should make difference in number of subtitle tracks.

 

i have no financial interest in tmt, , vlc player. found slideshow operation , subtitles not perform correctly (like project no burned disk), , tmt does.
