i've tried ubuntu twice in machine, once x64 x32. has win-7 before tries , after tires contains same.
problem that, during installation machine became overheated , system halted during installation.
using cooling pad, installed os drain battery in 30 mins 4400mah battery in 30 minutes.....
overheating disturbed me after installation too... reluctantly removed os , got win7 x32...
installed ubuntu ext4 in main drive , other drives not chnged. on same file system on win7 i.e ntfs
later on in 2nd try of ubuntu 12.4 x32, changed whole hd's partitions ext4 , installed os same problem existed...
plz guide me have ubuntu in lappy without problem
hi ,
have win7 os , search , find if bios upgrade available. search only in manufacturer's page (not unofficial). if bios upgrade available proceed upgrade.
problems described , due acpi + kernel incompatibility. bios upgrade maybe solve battery's problem.
other problem , temperature , due open source ati driver radeon. "manual hacking" needed there drop down temperatures , of can install fglrx (closed source) driver , see how going.
