Memory settings and Ram preview

hey there. have 2 questions. first, when set preferences in after effects desired ram reserved other applications, clears out 0 when close after effects. have continually reset preferences. second, have issues not being able ram preview full work area- 10 sec in full of 1 minute video. entirely imported illustrator art without effects on art from illustrator or effects set in after effects. update ram 16gb fro mthe factory 8gb. noticed actual cpu's used 0. on 1)better ram preview , 2)getting preferences retain settings after closing , reopening appreciated. thank you!

you haven't given enough details system. don't know if it's windows or mac? and, out of them os? windows 7? 8? mavericks? snow leopard?

we don't know version of ae you're running. 12.2.0? 12.1.0? 11.0.4? 11.0.3? 10.5.1?

has worked before? if so, when did stop?

are in networked environment? manage machine or take care of it?

Error 400 - Photoshop services are not available

After Effects error:creating resource file on Windows

hi   i have problem set of plugins developing. have 20 different plugins. after apply 10th plugin, gives following error on windows (cs6):   after effects error:creating resource file "....aex" ( 3 :: 0 )   i can have many instances of same plugin once have total of 10 different error comes up   one thing being enabled in plugin flag: pf_outflag_keep_resource_open   is culprit?   thanks in advance donj More discussions in After Effects SDK adobe
