How to migrate MULTIPLE PSE10 catalogs to another PC

i have bought new pc.

on old pc have pse 10 3 catalogs.

to move these catalogs (with several thousands of photos), have followed instructions in page:

so, made backups of 3 catalogs external disc.

i connected external disc new pc , started restore first catalog.

that went fine.

then restored second catalog.

that went fine.

but discovered first catalog had disappeared....

i expected in menu can switch catalog, both catalogs shown.

but showed last catalog restored.

to make sure, tried restore first catalog again.

again went fine. catalog there, , other 1 disappaered again.

what doing wrong?

how migrate multiple catalogs 1 pc pc?

i not know whether relevant: old pc running windows 7, new pc running windows 8.1.
