InDesign vs. Quark in regards to image file paths

the small daily newspaper work transitioning quark 7.5 indesign 8 (the 1 comes cs6). we're using markzware's q2id convert of our quark documents indesign id doesn't update images within document. here's example:

 

quark image path — vol2/dps-ads/graphics/c_22/discount liq. building 9-4-01-2

indesign image path — applications/adobe indesign cs6/adobe indesign cs6.app/contents/macos/vol2/dps-ads/graphics/c_22/discount liq. building 9-4-01-2

 

is there way adjust id doesn't include applications/adobe indesign cs6/adobe indesign cs6.app/contents section?

 

i'm sure i'm missing big picture here. thanks.

the extraneous paths unwanted byproduct of q2id conversion. can verify placing same image new id doc , view link info. if case, have re-establish links new id doc. if images saved in various folders, collect output xpress, once doc converted, in indesign can relink folder. once , done.

 

also, q2id conversion (like conversion) not perfect, there other things have tweak.

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
