I need help with an email hyperlink?

i having trouble getting email hyperlink launch email client when click on it. selected email address body copy (shannon@theposhnosh), type in "mailto:shannon@theposhnosh.co", int hyerlink field, when click on browser, doesn't launch. work when preview site in browser. odd. please help!

few things check :

- selected text changes link on preview ?

- can check using other text , hyperlink e-mail address ?

- same browser preview ?

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action
