I shoot .nef with a D800e and am learning to edit these in Photoshop Camera Raw. How to save edits?

i shoot .nef d800e , learning edit these in photoshop camera raw.  best way save viewing , printing , sending friends on dvd? (tv viewing)  if save edits tiff or jpeg photoshop remember edits if open .nef picture again?  need 3 versions of each picture?  jpg, nef , photoshop raw, or what??    have several thousand .nef , convert photoshop raw format take disk space , yes have 3 external drives of 1 - 3 tb. 

 

what best practice?

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action
