Thread: Unity failure upon resuming from hibernate, 12.04

running 64-bit ubuntu on dell inspiron 1545. 12.04 had solved multi-monitor problems... working wonderfully until time in last couple weeks.

now, since update or other, have following problem:

if have external monitor plugged in, close laptop lid, , move mouse, find myself using external display -- want. if tell laptop hibernate, when tell laptop resume nothing happens. blank screen. can use ctrl-alt-f1 switch virtual terminal, ctrl-alt-f7 switch x display, , see lock screen... when type password, windows on desktop undecorated, , there no unity.

can switch vt1 , log in , try run unity, doesn't work. wind needing reboot.

else have problem, , there workaround?

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
