Thread: dvd drive not responding

complete newbie/schmuck here, running 12.10, installed libdvdread4, still can't useful response dvd drive:

tried run command found on this forum post, got:

disk there, per this forum:

i've installed regionset, tried run , get:

yan@yan-aspire-5715z:~$ sudo regionset
[sudo] password yan:
regionset version 0.1 -- reads/sets region code on dvd drives
error: not open disc "(null)"!
please ensure there readable cd or dvd in drive.
yan@yan-aspire-5715z:~$

(there readable disk in drive)

i'd appreciate can give me!

is movie trying play? have installed libdvdcss? need play of encrypted dvd's
