Thread: Bif of help with a bit of everything
hey guys,
have few questions/issues need with. i've got new pc 240gb ssd dual boot ubuntu 12.04 , windows 7 , 1tb hdd use storage , swap.
when install ubuntu, ssd sdb instead of sda. pull hdd out , install ubuntu ssd (should) picked sda wouldn't able setup swap on hdd (want 16gb swap can use suspend function have 16gb ram , don't want swapping on ssd). there way force particular drive use drive name? if not, able install ubuntu on ssd without swap during install, plug in hdd after install , configure space swap using fdisk?
also, may wrong place post, have asrock z77 extreme 4 motherboard, , ssd not recognized in boot order options. able boot changing boot order f11 @ startup, boot it, need press every time - motherboard supports uefi not sure if has .
anyways, sorry long post looking or pointers in right direction.
cheers,
corey88
