i using mac, os x 10.8.5 , downloaded adobe reader 11.0.06.  pdfs aren't working in either safari or firefox.  in safari, blank black screen message, "adobe reader blocked website."  can click "allow," leads blank black screen.  happens across multiple sources of pdfs online.  in firefox, blank white screen, no message.  have ensured java enabled.  restarted computer after installation.  i'm filling out job application can done through adobe https://jobs.ca.gov/pdf/std678.pdf   thank help.  what safari version?did accept end user license agreement(eula) ? if not please quit safari > launch reader /applications folder > accept eula if prompted. view https://jobs.ca.gov/pdf/std678.pdf in safari.   firefox not support browser on mac, please find tech specs adobe reader 11 here : http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/tech-specs.html#xi   thank you. i don't use camera much. i'm pretty sure didn't connect computer since got new hard drive , reinstalled ubuntu in august. there have been couple of birthday parties since , school event or 2 , thought idea copy pictures hard drive , them ubuntu one. got out cable , plugged in usb port , instead of question want import pictures query, software want run. funny, never happened before. select shotwell, because sounds vaguely familiar , don't remember using before, f-spot maybe? shotwell starts , doesn't see camera. doesn't seem general problem. can't find on google or forums other people having trouble this. should next? i never had problems shotwell, don't know may problem. able import pictures no matter camera plugged in. if happen have card reader transfer pictures way. hi, i'm new ubuntu , encountered problem use with. i've tried installing r statistics package using ubuntu software center, when try launch it, error message telling me application has closed unexpectedly. when click details states problem ' executablepath' , 'could not determine package or source package name.' i've since managed install r through: sudo apt-get install r-base i'd software center run well, i'm still looking way obtain rcmdr (gui). have feeling i'm lacking depencies, don't know how find out ones (if so). either or there may wrong specific ubuntu build, it'd fair wasn't sure of doing (though flying on default far possible). in advance help! karel first, welcome ubuntu , forums! installing software center or apt-get command prompt should give same result. dependency handling same under-the-hood. i'm not sure why had trouble whe...

the support thread here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629224 says issue of dreamweaver cs5 not opening in mavericks has been fixed updater. computer not allowing me download updater because unidentified developer. says ask technical support if not work, tech support continues refuse me because version cs5 old. so, refer me these forums. downloading java 6 not work. neither deleting configuration folder (which replaced) , neither deleting cache fix problem.   thank in advance. downloaded updater dreamweaver still not open?
