Thread: Udev rules to change USB vendor and product ID


i have usb device unsupported in linux. however, similar device has driver work device.

can use udev rules "spoof" vendor , product id of device driver recognise it? rule need add?

what kind of device ? if usb modem, see if post can - http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...7&postcount=11

i'd appreciate if post details of device, including lsusb output, , how went. of course if need detailed help, post details of problem along output of lsusb, , hopefully, may finding solution.
