Thread: Will Radeon drivers automatically upgrade?
i installed ubuntu 11.04 on ga-a75m w/ a4 3300. 11.1 , 12.04 not install , gave me black screen. 11.4 started non-unity graphics
found fglrx driver pkg in update mgr. wow works , have unity on 11.4 *beautiful*, except have strange amd logo in bottom right corner labeled unsupported hardware. weird - fm1 sysmobo w/fm1 apu
happen when update in stages 11.1 , 12.04?
system keep new graphics drivers intact or what?
how rid of warning label?
unity seems running haven't tried , flash videos or streaming hdmi yet.
i never worry old drivers because linux installs noveaus me--they work don't use 3d or extras.
did try 12.04 live before installing it? should. you'd find whether run or not. run live try , see if graphics work in live session.
if 12.04 didn't have graphics first time, wouldn't upgrade until problem found, explained , instructions given on how fix. 'unsupported hardware' error message needs addressed.
knowledgable along soon.
i'd suggest running 11.04 while since works , gather info need before upgrading. it's good, solid system. give week or without putting personal work in it, fresh upgrade 12.10. it'll released 28th or thereabouts.
of course there issues there while. (new has few issues hardware because can't test on absolutely every version out there.)
