Thread: Slew of Wireless Problems - Help!
hello everyone,
let's straight down business.
i've been using ubuntu 12.04 while now, , issues i've come across i've been able find answers in forums (or our old friend google) have come across 2 issues cannot solve. well, more of 1 issue led another.
having issues wireless internet on hp pavilion dv6000, nothing major saw @ times wireless slow down drastically or stop working intermittently. have netbook attached same network never sees issues, assumed in laptop itself.
searching through forum , such found few possible helps it, nothing seemed fix completely. found 1 possible solution, executed lost wireless entirely. wireless button not turn on anymore (maybe firmware issue?) , of course dorpdown menu shows no networks or ability enable wireless.
so, 2 questions -
1. how can undo whatever was done restore ability wirelessly connect?
and
2. can improve wireless on laptop in general?
in advance, issue has been plaguing me , i'm pull hair out.
----------edit----------
ok, after reading other user's problems decided purge bcmwl-kernel-source , reboot. afterwards got wireless back. not know if permanent or what.
, i'm still experiencing odd jerks , such in wireless connection.
