Thread: Cannot install mercurial
hi all,
i'm having lot of trouble trying install mercurial on system. (i'm running 32 bit ubuntu 12.04.)
when try install mercurial using command,
i message saying,sudo apt-get install mercurial
i looked around online , people suggested first doing update, , trying install package. tried this, same error.reading package lists... done
building dependency tree
reading state information... done
e: unable locate package mercurial
suggestion make sure "universe" settings switched on or un-commented. checked , appear be.
can help? thanks!
edit: tried running,
but same error.sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mercurial-ppa/releases
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mercurial
you can manually download debs(from http://packages.ubuntu.com/ or ppa) , use
code:dpkg -i <package name>.deb
