The mysteries of Pantone
i trying come pantone match cmyk color 0/100/100/0. don't have physical pantone color book refer to, relying on online converters http://ngin.de/cmyk2pantone/index.php?c=0&m=100&y=100&k=0&hits=10.
when plug in pantone value illustrator, looks radically different onscreen in print. not effective way of evaluating color.
my question this: if print illustrator file out on cmyk inkjet printer, *that* more accurate representation of pantone color? or inaccurate?
regardless, can suggest rich red pantone values? of them seem printing out sort of drab , dusty.

correct. printing file on office printer won't either.
you'll need physical pantone book. or see service provider @ office , check samples (they should have pantone book). can work spot color , later tell them 1 use.
