Changing names of missing files

so managed have fatal 2 disk crash , lost half of catalogue. luckily, recovered 1 of drives, renamed of files. using original file names (dumb mistake), , seems there no way recover them. in future using yyyymmdd-hhmmss keep things recoverable.

 

so @ moment have recovered , renamed files along lines (yyyymmdd-hhmmss). want rename links in catalogue match files have exif data, , think can recover files. of course, lightroom throwing roadblocks. i'd recover photos edits, there way rename files in catalogue match new files?

i don't think there way without applying sql directly catalog (whilst not opened in (locked by) lightroom).

 

if want pursue, @ aglibraryfile table in .lrcat file using sqlite client app sqlitespy.

 

a word of caution: yyyymmdd-hhmmss not guarantee unique filenames, you'll need plan handle bursts etc..

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
