Thread: kexec and loading of kernel modules


when kexec reboot new kernel old kernel modules
stay loaded?

here scenario. in network testbed operate, when system
rebooted, first pxe boot can check system see
if needs re-installed. if not mount local disk
, kexec kernel resident on it. working on upgrading
ixgbe driver on 1 of systems when reboot , the
kexec continue have older driver resident in pxe boot image
instead of new driver on local disk.

in case matters, i'm running ubuntu 12.04.

help.

i've no clue config, seems run kexec on default path, instead of 1 want load.
can check blkid sure.
