Similarities between InDesign and HTML—Are they really there?

do indesign , html share underlying metaphor? designer go through similar thought processes , use similar strategies when building pages on 2 platforms? , did happen on purpose? or because 2 systems happened grow in same ecosphere?

 

i've been using id more 20 years , after learning html/css last year feels me indesign engineers have made indesign work same game mechanic html. i'm sure underlying code not more different, lot of similarities in preplanning , execution of pages elements such templated pages, spans, , parent , child styles.

 

so should trust feelings? 2 programs share similar approach, , safe indesign engineers have borrowed of thinking html , vice versa?

How to Grab email address from webform and insert into form action

Thread: "Broken" background image with Super Key
