Exporting in Illustrator CS6

i used work on corel x6 , trying switch illus.

i find tasks heavy , not practical. maybe don't know how

i used export in corel x6 window gives me option resize during export process, besides fact export selected objects only.

in illustrator, have resize physicaly object, create differnt arboard , isolate on artboard in order use "use artboard" option in export window.

could me way more practical??

select object --> artboard tool --> "create artboard object/ resize artboart object" (in top bar tool) --> export active artboard. @ least simplifies tasks. otehrwise still have explizitly visibility of objects/ layers, if follow specific naming conventions might possible create script toggles visibility based on that. make freinds selecting items similar criteria fill color or stroke , use show/ hide options menu. may not work, can handy when have lots of objects , want pick out 1 different rest.
