Thread: Samba and passwords with special characters

hi all,

have created server @ work, connected domain via centrify.

windows domain password has exclamation mark @ end (!). when try access share, prompted enter password; never works (i keep getting prompted). once change password not have special characters, works.

there need put in smb.conf work special characters? tried ubuntu , opensuse seems samba specific issue. have sent email samba mailing list. smb.conf listed below:

i still having issue in distribution i'm trying this... surely there universal way of fixing it?
