Thread: Touchpad doesn't do anything on Gateway LT2802u, Ubuntu 12.10 fresh install

hello!

installed latest ubuntu (12.10) on gateway lt2802u netbook via usb. atom based processor, 2gb ram. install went fine, start have not been able use touchpad. googling has not uncovered leads. preferences tab touchpad in 'mouse , touchpad' settings, settings don't change anything.

in advance help!
