Thread: OpenChome, Laptop "screen corruption"

i have older laptop strange display issue. if have external monitor connected via vga when starting x, laptop's screen displays correctly. without external monitor connected, colors displayed incorrectly(ex. white rendered bluish tent). screen artifects black , red, persistent between sessions, glx related, , can "smeared" across screen when moving windows.

identification lspci:

i have comparison of xorg logs here:

on left external moniter, , right without. thing caught eye difference in screen physical size. when setting in xorg.conf via displaysize parameter, issue still persisted.

able work around problem using xorg.conf found on random post on internet, life of me have been unable reproduce configuration. vesa work well, anything(windows) better that.

seems able solve downgrading 12.04. mesa 8 supports xaa not have above issue , still had dri1 code faster llvm software acceleration. win, win.
