Thread: How do you automate the installation of packages that usually prompt for usse input?


basically i'm writing couple of scripts, 1 of them needs install postfix , other needs install mysql-server.

how automate dpkg-reconfigure part of installation process scripts can run without user interaction?

here's how did it mysql-server.

pre-seeding postfix should possible in same manner.

unclear dpkg-reconfigure comes in mix of things here.
have never issued nor used dpkg-reconfigure in pre-seed routine i
have managed automate suit own needs. sorry.
fear cheat notes may suitable new installs...?
