Thread: No sound

hi,
began when installed skype on computer. have kubuntu 12.04 on computer.
when talked on skype, voices blurry echo. after checking around, reading support, found out pulseaudio problem. uninstalled it. after reboot, system recommended me remove pulseaudio - , ata drivers, did nothing this, opened sound settings. time noticed skype worked well.
next time again, again asked remove same drivers, , thougth, ok, since system says doesn't need them, ok. after this, microphone didn't work.
decided reinstall pulseaudio since microphone worked before removed these files. there no sound @ all. uninstalled pulseaudio again, still no sound @ all.
guess sound drivers , pretty messed now. there way restore before? or have re-install kubuntu?
